What Is Young Risers?

Young Risers is the youth development and leadership education division of The Rise Moor Healing Center (RMHC), serving children and youth ages 16 and under.

Our mission is to nurture the intellectual, emotional, physical, cultural, and social development of young people while preparing them to become confident, responsible, creative, and community-minded individuals.

Through interactive education, creative expression, mentorship, and hands-on experiences, Young Risers introduces youth to the principles of Community Leadership Development, helping them understand themselves, recognize their individual talents, and discover how their contributions can strengthen their families, communities, and society.

We believe every child possesses unique gifts and abilities that, when properly cultivated, can contribute to the upliftment of humanity.

Learning Through Our Four Pillars

Young Risers introduces age-appropriate activities connected to RMHC’s Four Pillars of Community Leadership Development:

Health & Wellness: Developing self-awareness, emotional intelligence, healthy habits, positive relationships, and personal well-being.

Agripreneurship: Exploring agriculture, environmental stewardship, food systems, sustainability, and the relationship between humanity and nature.

Financial Intelligence: Introducing money management, entrepreneurship, resourcefulness, responsibility, and the foundations of economic independence.

Civic Engagement: Building communication, teamwork, problem-solving, cultural understanding, community responsibility, and leadership skills.

Our approach emphasizes learning by doing, strengthening individual character and collective responsibility.

Young Risers Music

Finding Our Voice. Sharing Our Stories. Inspiring Our Communities.

Young Risers Music is a creative arts and cultural education initiative that empowers youth to explore music as a tool for self-expression, storytelling, education, personal development, and community leadership.

Music can communicate knowledge, preserve culture, encourage healing, build relationships, and inspire positive social change.

Young Risers Music creates opportunities for:

• Creative Expression: songwriting, poetry, rhythm, performance, and musical storytelling.

• Cultural Education: musical traditions, history, identity, and diverse cultures.

• Leadership & Collaboration: confidence, communication, teamwork, discipline, and collective creativity.

• Emotional Expression: understanding feelings and promoting positive self-expression.

• Music & Entrepreneurship: artistic development, production, branding, and ownership.

• Community Impact: creating music that inspires hope, promotes unity, and contributes to the upliftment of humanity.

Young Risers Music encourages youth to see themselves as creators, educators, storytellers, and future cultural leaders.

From Individual Potential to Collective Progress

Personal growth and community development go hand in hand. Through mentorship, education, family engagement, and practical experiences, young people can make meaningful contributions today and continue their leadership journey through Rise Moor Academy as they grow.

Every young person deserves an opportunity to discover their purpose, develop their abilities, and experience the power of Common Unity.

We welcome youth, parents, guardians, educators, artists, mentors, and community partners committed to cultivating responsible, compassionate, knowledgeable, and capable leaders.
