Agripreneurship Pillar

Cultivating Land. Growing Leaders. Building Sustainable Communities.

Growing More Than Food — Growing Opportunity
At The Rise Moor Healing Center (RMHC), our Agripreneurship Pillar connects agriculture, entrepreneurship, education, and community leadership development to create pathways toward food sovereignty, economic independence, and environmental sustainability.

We believe agriculture develops practical skills, strengthens communities, promotes health and wellness, and creates opportunities for individuals and families to become producers, entrepreneurs, and responsible stewards of the land. Through our Urban AgroKulture approach, community members reconnect with the natural environment, understand where food comes from, and build the knowledge and resources needed to participate in local agricultural economies.

What We Do

Our Agripreneurship Pillar provides educational, entrepreneurial, and hands-on learning opportunities focused on:

• Urban Agriculture & Food Production: Gardening, farming, greenhouse cultivation, and sustainable growing.
• Agricultural Entrepreneurship: Support for farmers, growers, and entrepreneurs building agricultural businesses and income opportunities.
• Food Sovereignty & Community Resilience: Community ownership, cooperative participation, and access to fresh food.
• Environmental Stewardship: Responsible land management, composting, soil health, water conservation, biodiversity, and sustainable methods.
• Youth & Adult Agricultural Education: Experiential learning, mentorship, volunteer service, and workforce development.
• Farm-to-Community Development: Connections among farms, households, markets, food distribution, and community-supported agriculture.

Our Approach:
Learn. Grow. Produce. Lead.

Through initiatives such as SpenStine Farms, the Yard-to-Farm Project, and other community-based agricultural activities, RMHC transforms land, resources, and knowledge into opportunities for education, service, and economic development.

Participants move from learning how to grow food toward understanding agricultural operations, developing entrepreneurial skills, participating in cooperative economic activity, and leading initiatives that benefit their communities.

By connecting Agripreneurship with Health & Wellness, Financial Intelligence, and Civic Engagement, RMHC advances a holistic approach built on the relationship between healthy people, productive land, economic opportunity, and engaged citizens.

Our Vision
We envision communities where individuals and families have the knowledge, skills, resources, and opportunities to grow food, establish sustainable agricultural enterprises, protect natural resources, and contribute to a resilient local economy. Our goal is to cultivate community leaders, land stewards, agricultural entrepreneurs, and future generations of producers who value self-sufficiency, cooperation, and service to humanity.
